Trace works with a number of wastewater treatment plants to provide information for NPDES, IPP self-monitoring, categorical discharge permit monitoring, baseline monitoring, and MAHL studies.  Additionally, Trace provides analyses for local utility companies to help meet discharge permit requirements.

The presence of PFAS in the environment has come under increasing scrutiny due to the potential negative health effects associated with long-term exposure.  With new regulations being implemented, PFAS monitoring is now required among various industries.  Trace has the resources to help with sample analysis and/or collection, meeting the full list of required compounds using EPA 537M.  Standard turnaround time is 7-10 business days and our reports include a combined result for PFOA and PFOS.

Trace has been analyzing low level mercury and copper for wastewater treatment plants across the state of Michigan for over 20 years.  We have been able to reach the low detection levels that permits require, making us a favorable resource for industries and other laboratories that are unable to perform these analyses.
