In Fall 2021, Trace Analytical Laboratories began construction on its first facility expansion in over 30 years. Following five years of new ownership and significant growth, the company had outgrown its existing space and was ready for its next chapter.
The project expanded the facility from approximately 10,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet. This growth enabled the enlargement of both our Metals and Wet Chemistry departments, while also establishing a dedicated workspace for our field team.
As part of the expansion, 2,000 square feet were intentionally reserved to support future growth. Since completion, a portion of this space has already been utilized to add an 800-square-foot walk-in cooler, increasing our sample storage capacity and the addition of a dedicated soil processing lab has given Trace the space to handle larger-scale projects.
This expansion has positioned Trace Analytical Laboratories for continued success—supporting team growth, enhancing our capabilities, and enabling us to expand into new testing areas as we look toward a strong and dynamic future.
