
In 2016 Trace was purchased by Mr. Brad Hilleary, a businessman well known for his involvement in the chemical industry, and a key supporter of our local community. Brad operates as Trace’s President/CEO and works directly with the management team in directing current and future operations. Brad is from West Michigan and attended Western Michigan University, graduating in 1991 with a BBA in Marketing and Finance.

Graduate of Grand Valley State University, Gina Roe started at Trace in 1990 as an analyst. In her 35 years at Trace, she has transitioned through many positions and currently holds the title of Laboratory Manager. Her years of laboratory experience have resulted in a leadership of change and growth for our clients and staff. She is passionate about improving productivity, forging new paths, and utilizing new technologies for continuous improvement and future progress at Trace.

Jon Mink has been with Trace since 1990. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from the University of California, San Diego Revelle College, he started in the laboratory as an analyst and worked his way through the lab in different departments, giving him a broad understanding of all laboratory activities. Jon also specializes in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), allowing for report customizations. His understanding of complex projects and reporting requirements are integral in the support he provides for our consulting clients as a Senior Project Manager.

Tim Brewer is a West Michigan native who started with Trace in 2008 as the lone Field Technician. His years of hands-on experience with sample collection and understanding client systems has made him an invaluable asset to our clients as a Project Manager since 2017. Tim works directly with our clients to meet their Wastewater and Groundwater needs, specializing in permit requirements. As Trace has grown, so has the need for more sampling. Tim now also supervises a team of Field Technicians who work together to create and coordinate sampling plans throughout the State of Michigan.

Dan Sroka is the Business Development Specialist at Trace Analytical Laboratories, driving company growth and fostering strong client relationships since 2018. He is passionate about enhancing community connections and actively seeks new partnerships. His leadership is evident through his involvement with multiple environmental associations and his dedication has earned him several professional awards. Dan's accomplishments reflect his enthusiasm and expertise, contributing to a bright future for Trace Labs.

Alyson Yagiela started at Trace in 2011 in her current role as QA/QC Manager. Alyson’s interest in the environment prompted her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Resource Ecology & Management from the University of Michigan and subsequently and master’s degree from Michigan State University. In her position at Trace, Alyson spearheads internal and external audits for multiple accrediting bodies, ensures laboratory compliance with standardized methods, investigates corrective actions, and works to continually improve the overall quality program at Trace.

Caroline DiMaria began her career at Trace in 2019, bringing over a decade of previous laboratory experience to Trace’s metals department. Her interest in science earned her a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University. Caroline’s attention to detail and constant drive to ensure accurate data led her to a supervisory position in the Metals Laboratory. Now, as a Project Manager, she looks forward to giving that same attention and support to our client’s project needs.
