WASTE CHARACTERIZATION

Waste Characterization is vital for proper disposal of waste materials. Landfills and disposal sites are receiving increasing requirements to be able to accept waste material. Trace helps provide the necessary data to determine if material is considered hazardous or non-hazardous, which, in turn, determines how the material will be discarded.
Trace has experience assisting waste haulers and landfills throughout the State of Michigan with the following analytical data:

  • TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) Metals
  • TCLP Volatiles
  • TCLP Semi Volatiles
  • TCLP Pesticides
  • TCLP Herbicides
  • PCBs
  • Flashpoint
  • Corrosivity (pH)
  • PFAS
  • TENORM (Radium 226/228, Pb 210)
  • Radiums 226/228
  • Gross Alpha
  • Paint Filter Test

Trace has dedicated staff and equipment geared toward characterizing waste materials to give you the answers needed to proceed with proper disposal.
