PFAS was discovered during the 1930s. During the 1940s and well into the 70s, it became increasingly prevalent in manufacturing and was incorporated into everyday products. Recently, PFAS has been classified as an emerging contaminant which is defined as an environmental and human health hazard.

Trace now offers PFAS analysis to wastewater treatment facilities, as well as PFAS analysis for drinking water. We are able to provide the full list of  MDEQ compounds using Method EPA 537M.
